Three Reasons You Need to Own At Least One Domain Name:

Having your own domain names doesn’t necessarily put points in your professionalism
column because it is an expected practice today. But NOT having one, will definitely
HURT your image… Again, because having one is an expected practice today.

Let’s say that you were one of my cold market prospects and you didn’t know anything
about me at all. I have your contact information, so I decide to send you a quick
introductory email from my address which is:

Money0789@aol.com (Not a real email address)

What would your first impression be? Do I sound like a professional business owner? A
successful CEO? A leader?

Or do you picture some big college dropout making $8.00 delivering pizzas?
The truth is irrelevant. I might be a millionaire but it wouldn’t matter because I’m being
judged by that email address the instant it arrives in someone’s inbox.

On the other hand, how would your perception change if my email address was:

Anjie@idealbiz.com?

Now you’re left with two options. The impression you get is going to be either positive
due to the professional nature of the name, or neutral because the actual domain names
themselves are neutral in meaning.

Idealbiz.com don’t really mean anything. You can’t associate them to a company, product, or person. They are GENERIC.

The second advantage to having your own domain name is that you can now have a
personal email address that is not dependent upon a 3rd part provider like AOL, Yahoo,
Hotmail, Excite, or GMail.

We both know that it’s impossible to get an email address like anjie@yahoo.com or
anjie@hotmail.com. They were picked up long ago. But if you have your own domain name, you can choose any address you’d like:

anjie@idealbiz.com, support@idealbiz.com, help@idealbiz.com, owner@idealbiz.com, ceo@idealbiz.com. etc…

The choice is yours.

Finally, the third advantage to owning a domain name is that you can use what’s called a
“redirect.”

In network marketing, we often use replicated website addresses or affiliate links in our
businesses.

These are usually fairly long web addresses that are difficult to give out over the phone,
or place in advertising pieces.

If you’re promoting products or services through an affiliate program, you would have an
Affiliate looks something like this:

http://www.shoppingcart.com/app/aftrack.asp?afid=586781

The bottom line is that in each of these cases above, you are LOSING business just
because of the web link itself.

The Right Product Sells Itself

In fact, for some of my websites, my customers are my goods.

When you join an affiliate program, you buy traffic from other sites

and pass them onto your partners for a profit. In this book you’ll learn
all about affiliate programs. I’ll show you how to build them, how to
select your partners and how to turn your traffic into cash.
But traffic is just one kind of product on the web. Information
products are some of the greatest money-makers currently churning
up dollars on the Net. And anyone can create an information product.
Imagine you know how to build a bookcase from scratch. That
already makes you a lot more knowledgeable than me. The only thing
I know about wood is that it looks great in my fireplace! Maybe one
person in a thousand will want to know how to build the kind of
bookcase you know how to build. If you’re not a well-known carpenter,
no publishing company is going to touch you. It’s just not worth the
effort. On the Internet, one person in a thousand gives you a potential
market of approximately 340,000 customers (and that number is
growing all the time). If you write a book and sell it online for just $10
per copy you could make as much as $3,400,000. All you have to do is
tell people what you know and tell them it’s out there. And that costs
next to nothing. Information sells like crazy online. In fact, I sell a $47
ebook all day long. The profits from that single ebook could provide a
comfortable living for me and my family all by itself. But who wants to
stop at one profit stream when you can create multiple streams of
automated income on the Internet?

How To Find Good Products

There are two primary ways to sell people’s products other people have done all
the hard work to make:

• Find a product with some flavor of resale rights, and resell it.
• Promote an affiliate product.

Many people are tremendously successful with each of these approaches every
single day, so let’s review both.

Resale Rights

Resale rights are exactly what the term says they are.

When you buy resale rights, you buy the right to resell a product created by
somebody else. They come in various flavors, but here are the big two:

• Basic Resale Rights. This is the right to resell the product as-is. When
one of your customers buys it, he owns a copy for personal use.
• Master Resale Rights. This is the right to resell the product, and also to
sell the resale rights for the product. When one of your customers buys it,
she owns a copy for personal use, and also can sell the right to resell the
product to her own customers.

Resale rights can be a lucrative path to take, and there are places to find good
products to sell, but it’s not the approach I’m going to focus on.

The reason is that selling a resale rights product requires more technical knowhow,
which is one of the biggest barriers new marketers have to entering the
marketplace.

Affiliate Products

The second option—promoting an affiliate product—is by far the easiest
approach for selling a product.

An affiliate product is simply a product created by somebody else, which that
other person offers for sale through partners who promote it. Those are his
affiliates.

When an affiliate refers somebody to the creator’s product, and that person
actually buys the product, the affiliate gets whatever commission the creator
offers to affiliates.

It’s an extremely fast way to start an online business. There are affiliate
marketers out there making literally millions of dollars per year from affiliate sales
alone.

They don’t have to create a single product. In some cases, they don’t even need
a website, although life is much easier if you have your own site (more on that in
a minute).

There are several options for locating affiliate products to sell. One of the best
places to look is at a site called ClickBank (CB for short).

What Makes A "Good" Product?

Okay, so you need to find a good product your niche wants. As soon as most
new online marketers hear that they immediately ask, “What makes a product
good?”

One factor most people give more weight than it deserves is the quality of the
product. Never forget that a prospective buyer never sees your product until he
buys it, so quality (unless the product gets a public reputation for quality) isn’t the
entire picture. High quality is a must, if only to minimize refunds, but it’s not
enough.

Here’s the secret:

The best product is one that sells like a life preserver to a drowning person.

In other words, the best product is one that sells well already.
That actually tells you two things:

1. A good track record is helpful, as long as the product isn’t so saturated
that it’s unlikely to sell anymore.

2. Creating your own product—which very often for folks getting started
takes a good long time—isn’t the best place to start, because you woul
be starting without a track record.

You need to find somebody else’s product that you can sell and profit from. That
gets you in profit as quickly as possible (when actually selling a product), which lets you build your business soon.

So how do you find these moneymakers?
